was reading this thread about mobility skywaypiers.proboards.com/thread/4758/fishing-doing-sunshine-skyway-shufflewhich got me thinking just how friendly is the piers for people with mobility issues .... They do have parking areas reserved, but what about special areas for actually fishing what can they do to make it easier to fish. possible improvements could be.... a) build up some spots at the rock piles so the floor is level with those horrid concrete blocks (can use decking to build it up ) this would give a wider even surface for people in wheel chairs plus an added benefit ... it would will lower the rails a bit for them b) add some sort of pump/piping for sea water (bait keeping) gotta be hard for people to pull up buckets of water? anyone with mobility issues speak up on what would make it better for you!
