idk but since gags are out if you're lucky maybe early mangrove snappers, sheep head, stray cobia? the pier is a great place to be to relax and wet a line but keep in mind after the closing one side fishing can be a challange. but have fun and let us know how u did.

Might be a good time 'a year, if yer lookin fer eatin fish to target the Whiting that always stack up in the shallows of the bay this time of year... Fish peeled frozen Shrimp, or cut squid on the bottom, from the Toll Booth to the Y. Family Fun Fishin at it's best! Proly have to fight a few kittys and such along the way, but with minimal patience a good ass fish fry don't really take that long if'n ya hit em right. Take a few crabs wit ya, and Maybe the Fat Lady In The Striped Suit'l invite herself to the party to! Fish On NY

Black seabass should still be there and are easily caught on squid. The other main good eatin fish I would target out there would be sheephead, previous threads will help you get ready for them.

if you aren't afraid of the cold water you can wade the areas near around the piers for some nice trout this time of year!!!
the Flats near the south pier (as you are driving up from the reast area to the toll booth) always hold some good trout
Shrimp on a popping cork or Gulp Jerk Shads almost always produce there
