Catch one for me, I'll be down in May to get it. How long will the ban be in effect? Good Luck tomorrow, Benny

Well, the wind was blowing about 15-20 on the SSP out of the S, SW. Made it almost impossible to freeline on the outgoing at about 4:00pm. Nothing doing on cut-bait either. So didn't get any keepers, left at 7pm. Suprisingly crowded when I got there at 2 pm, but cleared out by about 6 pm. If any of you saw those helicopters, it was the Coast Guard was doing rescue exercises about 1,000 yds off the west side of the pier.

James, the regs on snook. Snook T (All species) Not less than 28” or more than 32” Atlantic; Not less than 28” or more than 33” Gulf of Mexico, Monroe County, Everglades Nat. Park it should still say not to exceed 32" but yes you can say not over 33" but even at 32 1/8 you're still breaking the law. thought i'd point that out.

Not saying your wrong there, but that came straight out of the 2009 regs. Check out the link, if it's a misprint, than maybe someone should let FWC know. myfwc.com/marine/Docs/2009_SaltwaterRegsChart.pdfI was starting to doubt myself, I went back and took a look at my 2008 regulations, it was 33". I think it was actually changed in 2007, may be wrong.

No need to apologize...really don't care, just too much time on my hands today. Hope you have better luck Friday than I did yesterday. Water temp was 58 according to my thermometer. Look forward with meeting up with you one day.
Also fry bait was around but deep. Took a #4 sabiki to get some and most of those were snagged. Small pins no problem, big pins were hard to find. Did have a few Bluerunners also.
Also saw a couple of guys fishing the east span on the incoming, at the end, where the hole in the fence is. The sign is also mysteriously mssing from the fence. Like they could use that as an excuse. Every car that makes a turn around there gets their attention real quick. Never saw any marine officers around to stop them.
