I was fishing with my grandfather in the oldsmar trials close to the oldsmar flea market and i see an elderly guy standing next to my rods i go over to check and see that he was starting to take his shoes off which i thought was weird . he goes back to his car and i keep on fishing a little farther away. the ma comes back and tell a man that was sitting on a bench that he was 91 and that he was going to commit suicide but if the cops came to tell them he was just going for a swim. the guy calls me and tells me call the police that the man was going to jump i call them and as i do the man jumps from the dock head first he comes up but starts to sink i jump in and just leave my feet holding me and bring the old man in and hold him close to the dock with his head out of the water because i couldent take him out being that he was 200 something pounds and i am 16 and only 120 pounds. im just very happy i saved a life today.

What a story mackman, i'm glad you saved his life but as many suicide attempts go...they are never finished until it is over. Being 91 and still able to walk talk and breathe its a shame to think at such a age and health suicide is the best way to go. May your unselfish act and courage bring you good karma and awesome new year!

WTG Mackman....takes courage to do what you did, even though you probably didn't think twice about doing it. May the fish God's smile upon you.

1000 karma points for you. I hope he gets the help he need. In my line of work I have seen a lot more elderly people ending their own life.I only ever get to see the tragic side. Thank you for saving him and sharing with us the story. It's good to know there are still good people out there.
