I caught one 17 incher and my friend caught 2 keepers, and we combined caught about 8 shorties. I started using crabs and little crayfish i found with the crabs however by fingers are cut to ribbons lol. Then started using pin mussles i found on the beach and they worked until the bait stealers showed up

Have you actually had success? I have thought about trying them, just never have, yet.

I have heard from a number of sources they work. Certainly alot easier to get than fiddlers. I am going to have to try that.

I used night crawlers last year and landed some sheeps. I also had good luck fishing for silver trout with them. I found useing a baitholder hook works best for me good luck.
merry Xmas to everybody and a safe new year.

I have used them in the past with great success and they seem to stay on the hook better than the crabs.

Heres a pic of a monster sheep I shot this past Friday. We were doing some fishing/shooting up around Bayport. I saw a couple normal size sheeps that I didn't pay much attention to and then this big boy comes mossing on by. He was 23 inches long and weighed 9.1 lbs. I took a pic of him next to my fin to give a scale. The fillets off of him looked like two porterhouse steaks.

wow 29 inches biggest ive seen, i did pretty good on em on wed. but nothing for the rest of the week, they just up and dissappeared and the bait stealers moved in, it might have been from all the people out thiss weekend tossing down whole shrimp on huge hooks and weights probably a smorgish board for the pins
