The trout bite is on!! I got out to the pier (Jenkins Pier) at 6:30am, found a nice spot on the rail. Only took one rod, so I set it up with a Cajun Thunder cork with an aberdeen gold hook underneath. Picked up a couple dozen shrimp on the way in... Baited up and threw her out. The bite was pretty constant lots of slot size trout mostly between 15" and 19". There were a few shorts in there, but all in all some nice keepers. Didn't see any hawgs, but was talking to a few of the guys there and they said the last week has been great for the trout bite. They have been limiting out quite a bit. Anyway about 8:30.... the bite just stopped. Like someone turned off a switch. Great day of fishing
