Same here... normally I have two rigged in the water and one with a sabiki on. Things are just starting to go down hill now. I haven't said much, because I really enjoy the piers and my kids LOVE going there. But I'm glad that the waters are cooling off. The reds and snook are coming in up in my area. and the trout are starting to look real good. But it is a shame... I was hoping to enjoy the piers for many years to come with my kids.

I posted the two rod question at Bigmikes place>>
Username: BigMike Message: As far as i know its only on the weekends when they have much more anglers than during the weekdays. Now that the pier has less parking and more people fishing on one side i would think its only fair that everyone have some room to fish. I have seen weekends when one angler has ten rods up against the railing and only fishing with one or two. I am sure management received many complaints from paying customers like yourself that have no room to fish because somebody has lots of rods out, I know i would be a little upset but its not my call. You can always contact the pier manager for more info on this matter. 727.865.0668

I have seen people with 10 rods out, spaced out over 30 ft. I don't see how one person can handle all of these rods at one time . wonder if he got hits on 3 of them at once what one does he go for. while the other 2 are not attended to . have 2 rods out and the 3 rod for bait catching , tight lines newyorker1

so how do they enforce that, before you actually get out on the pier, or do they come buy and look at how many you have out, cuz for those that like to keep a sabiki rigged up you could just keep that in the car till you need it maybe, or maybe having the poles sitting in the car with the windows down and the line hanging out of it....just an idea

I doubt theyd say anything about how many rods you take with you or have in your possession. Alot of folks have different rods rigged for different fish. I think the enforcement would only be for rods that have lines in the water.

That's when you tie on the spoon with the inside of the treble hooks sharpened to a fine edge.
