Ok guys i havent made it out to skyway yet so i dont know to much about it. But my normal haunts are kinda bare right now. So what do i need to get some keeper grouper out there?
Do i just throw a heavy weight with a leader and a pinfish down on the bottom, any particullary good places to try and which pier is better and what time. Thinking about going out there this weekend. So if i could get some pointers i would appreciate it.
Saw a boat come in this weekend with about a dozen nice keepers so now i want some.

yeah i have read some of them, just cant really recall any specific type of set up for them. Do you need to hold on to the pole or can you just let it set and if so how do you keep em from rocking you which is usually the case with grouper regardless if i hold the pole or not

Heaviest set-up you got. This ain't like fishing the flats. Never give a grouper an inch or he will rock you, so best to hold onto the pole with a fairly tight drag.
