Has anybody had great success fishing for squid in the past? Curious what the best set up is, do you rig it sabiki style with multiple squid jigs? It should be that time of year for them if they're there, looking to give it shot soon before it starts warming up soon. I've only caught a few squid here with a squid jig. Looking to get more than just a few hopefully.

I was just coming here to ask if the squid were running. Should be, right time of year. Bad combo of "it's too cold" and "I'm too lazy" for me though. After catching a few last year on normal gear (they are happy to eat your greenie or shrimp on a hook) I picked up a few of these jigs with the intention of a trip or two to do it right: www.amazon.com/Yo-Zuri-Aurora-Floating-Luminous-2-Inch/dp/B00LDYQJ9I?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1&psc=1 The Asian (osv) dudes who knew what they were doing were tying 2-3 jigs on their lines which looked like dropper loops with one end cut so that the jigs didn't stay close to the main like. Sinker at the bottom, rapid jigging. Though tbh, you'd probably do fine no matter how you rig up. The squid are aggressive little bastards. No need to be fancy.

This was posted 4 days ago on a facebook group. Based on the comments, they ended with 4, and a few other comments said the squid are running. Maybe they've been there awhile and everyone has just been keeping quiet about it. Definitely worth a shot right now.
