Arrived at 7 a.m. Sabikied some bait. Caught 3 small groupers. 2 blue runners and a few lizard fish. Fished with my brother in law who couldn't remember the last time he fished. Turns out he had the two biggest bites that rocked him up both times. The biggest bite was on a pinfish while he was sitting in a lawn chair playing with his phone. Saw one mack caught at the end of the pier. High tide ebbed when we got there and low tide flow. Left about noon. Not many people there and was told the roadwork on SSP road wasn't going to happen until next week. People out there but didn't look like many. One bottlenosed dolphin stopped by for a snack. Beat working. Chicken fettucine for dinner. What can I say.

Been waiting to catch a change in this wind pattern, seems like steady NE winds for over a month. Friday winds will be from the SE, with good strong tides so guess I'll give it go and see what happens

Puppy drum as in small black drum?
I've never heard small red drum referred to as puppy drum.
