Hour and a half drive to get there but love the skyway piers. Big fish available.

Read online that around 200,000 people per year visit the Skyway Piers. I did the math and that works out to around 548 people per day. How can that be possible? No wonder I can't catch anything. They caught them all. Surely it's not me. HaHa. There is a nice pavillion at the baithouse at the end of the North Pier. Great place for a fish fry. Just one problem. You guessed it. The fish hogs got there before I did and cleaned house. My nephews 14 year old daughter was using the sabicki and pulling up greenbacks while I took them off and dropped them in the bucket. I asked her after a bit if she wanted to put one on a bigger rod and see if she could catch something worthwhile? No, that's OK was her response. She was enjoying pulling up three or four fish at a time, even if they weren't that big. Every cast. Guess it's all a matter of perspective. She caught 40 fish that day and I got skunked. What the heck?

Sounds high but Probably about right for both piers combined.
Lots of kids are like that, rather catch bait than stand around waiting on a big fish! Mine were. It's good to have a bait catcher!
