Fished from 8am to 4pm. Caught around 7 small macs and kept 2. A lot of small jacks and landed a decent blue runner around 17 inches. Bait was sporadic but was there in decent numbers. I’ll probably give the skyway a rest and wait until reports kick up again. I’ll start posting some Anna Maria and fort desoto trips. Hopefully the cooler incoming tides will produce mackerel

Thank for giving all of us your report. It is particularly valuable because you, as you usually do, give the time you fished. There can be a big difference between what is going on in the early morning, or afternoon/evening. If you fish for a long time, like you did, it would be even more helpful if you let us know when during those 8 hours the mackerel were around. Also, it would be very helpful if reports would at least generally indicate what part of the SSP you fished and caught fish from. People do not have to give away there honeyhole spot, but instead indicate if it was toward the end, middle, or beginning of the pier. Again, there can be fish at one of those areas, whereas nothing at the others.

But I spent most of my time at the end of the SSP on this particular day.
