Hey guys,
There are a lot of good ideas being suggested on the pier issue. I was just wondering one thing. Given that our representatives are living up to the time honored tradition of saying one thing by and by while doing mostly another or nothing...how bout a few suggestions:
1) Dont just send one letter to your rep and hope for a response - sent mulitples - even if its the same letter in a follow up format. Request a read receipt - mark it for follow up - mark it urgent.
2) If we email these people, why not toss in a link to our forum - if they actually visit - they'll see there is more than one person concerned with our pier fishing future.
There is nothing like a good dose of email and letter bombings to get your point across "bomb in the sense of multiple emails and letters - not in the Unibomber sense"
Remember those people on capitol hill work for us...lets help them remember that - given the state of the economy and what not....my pocket book and campaign contributions may be subject to budget cuts as well...if they cant raise the money for us...why the hell should we help them raise it for themselves to sit around for 2 more years and keep it business as usual.
On topic though with the letters and emails - pick up the phone and call as often as youd like. Pretty soon they will get the message.
In the next few days im gonna put my thinking cap on and start sending out my letters and emails and phone calls.
-Fight the good fight-
Those piers are more than fishing spots - they keep kids out of trouble and bring families together outdoors rather than in front of the nintendo.

Me thinks they can do a hell of a lot to enhance the life of the pier - i mean for crying out loud the old clearwater pass brigde looked like it had been glued back together and braces were braced before that thing saw its last vehicle. I dont by the bs about bridge safety...brigdes dont deteriorate over night...
