Damn nice Kings. How the hell do you all keep bait in the water long enough for a fish to grab it instead of a dolphin. I stopped fishing during the day completely because of it.

If using a stinger rig for the bait, you usually have less flipper interest. They know exactly where the hooks are and may not fool with it. You seldom hook a dolphin when freelining a typical tailhooked pinfish for example, they just pull the bait off. If there is little room for them to get past the hook you have a better chance IMO.

Lots of Spanish around yesterday afternoon and evening. Big packs of ladyfish too. Jigs, lures, bubble rigs No luck with grouper plugs. Spanish are more fun.

I call these bonita, not bonito AKA Atlantic bonito. Yes, they are False albacore AKA little tunny. Maybe I should just use little tunny so people won't mix them up. idk.

Just to add a bit of clarification ref the bonita questions as a friend had sent a picture of one caught but he was not sure if it was a bonehead and whether it was good to eat or no. Bit of online search kinda cleans the questions up fairly easy and a picture is worth .... you know....
