Well I had my most productive snapper night so far last week. Granted I’m kinda new to fishing the pier.

Hows the snapper action been out there lately. Headed out tonight. I was going through my old phone a few days ago and had a photo of my biggest mango out there around this time four years ago, a 18.5 inch mango on a live pinfish for grouper. Will post photo when I get a chance. But I was out there about 2 wks ago and hooked four, lost 2. Was a good bite til flipper showed up. The mango bite should be at its prime for this time of year. I would throw out a small live pinfish on a seperate rod while you fish with shrimp/whitebait in case there's any monster mangos right now. |

Got my limits last two nights in a row, no big ones, couple just over 12. On NSP near the end. The bite gets hot just after the low tide flips back to an in-coming. Half a shrimp on a Carolina rig does the trick

  Here's the photos I said I'd post. With the tail pinch, it'd be about 18.5. To give a better idea, it was about as long as your average 10 lb bag of ice. There's definitely some big ones out there. |

Buddy of mine tried Saturday on SSP for snapper, live shrimp little greenbacks etc. only one small lane and a bunch of lizardfish.
