Goin out Friday night with Hubbard's for the Mangrove Snapper trip. On these trips are we held to the 5 fish limit or is it a boat limit they must adhere to?

That will depend on how far they Take You out on the Trip. Gulf state waters are from shore to 9 nautical miles out. Usually they will take You out in Federal waters which is more than 9 miles out.
State Waters: 5 per person within the 10 snapper aggregate bag limit - State: 10" TL Federal Waters: 10 per person within the 10 snapper aggregate bag limit - Federal: 12" TL

When I lived in P'cola there was a party boat we used to go out on during Red Snapper season. On that boat, you fish to a boat limit and then everyone on board splits the meat evenly. I prefer to keep my personal catch as I have faith that I can out fish most people on board!!! Ha Ha......

Any time my buddies and I would leave at the crack of dawn on a offshore fishing trip we would start the day with Red Beer, which is beer mixed with tomato juice. Tomato juice to coat the stomach and beer, because well....because beer is delicious! Breakfast of champions!

we once took a buddy who had never been off shore before, was a little rough but nothing too bad. We did drink till 2 AM and then slept for three hours and got on the boat at 5. By 6 we started mixing our red beer. Gave some to the buddy who had never been offshore. He turned green, puked over the side, followed by a long miserable day of seasickness. We just continued to drink red beer and laugh at him, some friends we are!

Plus a man got to be able hold his liquor. HOWEVER. I love tomato juice and beer, never had it together. Question, why not bloody merry for breakfast? You get veggies in your body, add some spice for to wake you up, and the old bay just gets you in the mood for grilling fish.

My inshore fishing partner does that. God damn its annoying. Its like, look buddy, we all get the same bites and teh same misses.

My buddy from Sarasota is like that, never says a word when he's slinging the macks, but goes crazy if he misses one, and it's always a monster
