Kevin,
That'd be the way I'd go that thing looks perfect. i been looking at making one with those foam floaties at wal-mart cheap and a mesh bag only thing is how to attatch a couple rodholders (really only need one) 1 rod in hand and other in holder.

For 22 bucks, that doesn't look too bad. I'd start by adding the extra zip ties like the reviewers said. It wouldn't be too much cheaper to make one and that one looks pretty good. Unless your going for just the fact that you made it yourself, I'd go with that one already made.
It's a very cool product, I've never seen one before. now you have me wanting one... Man. is the wife gonna be mad.. ;D ;D

I agree tuna. Why reinvent the wheel when you can just improve it. For 22 bucks and some minor modifications, i think this will work just fine. I would love to see one in person before I bought it though. Oh well.

The only problem is the nylon mesh. If you are wading grass flats, the blue crabs will rip holes in it to get to the bait.
Been there, done that.........

I used to use one with the foam noodles from the dollars store.
In the middle I would use one of those donnut floating rings. In the middle was a five gallon bucket with one of those noddles tied around the rim with Plastice tie straps.
I would tie the fresh catch, if any, on a stringer or place in the bait bucket. Some time I would tie on one of those yellow bait buckets so I could keep the fresh catch alice in the five gallon bukets. I sure you could rig some PVC pipe with a Rod holder. I just never tried it.

David,
What type of net would you use in the center?
Like I said, I've never seen one before, let alone use one. So this is very intriguing.

Plus....
Wouldn't having fish on a stringer beside you, place you in a precarious position with passerby sharks??

look4tuna, Not only sharks but alos fliper has gotten close on a couple trout I had hanging on a stringer. You need a quick release. When wading their are not too many option to keep you fish alive if you have no ice on your caddy. You can place them in the bait bucket but they still may drawn the sharks as they get exicted when you reach for new bait.
That is the fun of fishing. You against all the fish in the Gulf? lol
