MM: I read and watched the videos of the new law here in FL. The law is first of its kind in the nation. I wonder how this got slipped by the public. It's contrary to what FL's policy has been. Not a good move. Hope its repealed. I agree with Montyfl's reaction to it.

Not a good move. Hope its repealed. I agree with Montyfl's reaction to it. About 15 Years ago, I was working in West Palm Beach and one day I went fishing behind the house where I was working. I Fished along in the Atlantic Ocean in Front of the Kennedy Compound facing the Atlantic Ocean in West Palm Beach & got ran off by the Secret Service. I did not know that the Kennedys lived there where I was Fishing nor did I know it was their House. Now I know where they live. The Secret Service said that I had to leave or they would take Me to Jail. Put it this way, I did not go to Jail. Here I was working 3 Doors down from the Kennedys. Small World out there !

Upon further thought, I ask the politicians who passed this law: Why did you create a problem when there was hardly an issue before?? IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!

If you are a property owner, it IS a problem. I can see both sides of this matter, but. I have to error on the side of nature. The beach is nature and should be accessed by all. I'm all for property rights but the beach is ever changing to be owned outright.

The secret service was still serving the Kennedy's? Yes. The Kennedy's have a large family. Just remember, two of them were shot & killed. I'd want protection also if it were Me.

Protective Mission – The protective mission of the USSS is to ensure the safety of the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, the President’s and Vice President’s immediate families, former presidents, their spouses, and their minor children under the age of 16, major presidential and vice presidential candidates and their spouses, and foreign heads of state. SOURCE: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Secret_Service– "In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect" by Ronald Kessler. I have read the above book. So it may have been personal security but the SSA would no longer be protecting any Kennedys. GK HM!

so on tonight's news they showed the city is spending 53 Million putting sand back onto beaches that we MAY not be able to sit on
if the owners want their beach to be private they can pay to have their sand restored but of course the restoration will probably be finished before the law takes effect
