Either side of the SSP or the west side of the NSP. You need to find the structure. Look at the pics of the piers on the Sticky thread.

According to the king of Skyway grouper, Scooter, "grouper and mango snappers are better on the south pier, but tarpon and snook are better on the north." From an article I read a while back HERETake it for what its worth. Both have produced lots of keepers.

Dude Ive been to the piers 15+ times and have yet to get a keeper grouper. Dont give up you will get one sooner or later. Ive caught lots of shorties but that gets old after a while. Remember, bigger bait = bigger fish!!!
Freeline a big pinfish with the tide and see what happens!!!
Yeeeee-haw!

Skyjays Skyway Mile on Scooters Skyway Pier. "Do you have blisters on your feet, is your freezer full of meat". Man the memories. Heres to the next era. Fish on.

Jab don't feel too bad. I been going about 6 years and still haven't caught a keeper. But I'm learning. I got an 18 incher Friday morning I had to release. But that's my biggest so far. A couple of the better fishermen finally told me what I was doing wrong and I'm beginning to catch on. I can feel it. I know I got one coming soon. At least I hope so. Keep trying you'll get one.
