Got to thinking today about all the good information on the site and was thinking maybe a locked section could be created for threads that enough people think is really good and useful information to be put in. We the people would not be able to post there. But if enough think it is usueful information we could recommend that the Boss put it there. It would create a section that would cut down on the number of searchs for info in some cases. What do you guys think?

Great idea. But who decides if a post should be "locked"

I agree, a great idea. It could be set up by species. A good example, Jimmy's thread "Just Curious". There's some good stuff there. It's to the point, straight fishing info. IMHO.

X factor, That's a great idea....I was thinking of the same concept last week after reading all the fabulous information under the "Curious" thread. Especially the knowledge and experience shared by Skyjay. I tried saving alot of the same kind of information from the old board last year by cutting and pasting to a Word document on my desktop, but you would be surprised at how much you end up saving. If one of you computer gurus figure out a good way to do this, it would also be helpful to add a "Search" feature and a "Print" feature for reference while offline. Jim

I just added the "Curious" to the useful links thread.
