Nice! Macks and a Pompano, will make a good meal. I've forgotten the sunscreen too many times also. Now I just keep some in the trunk so I can't forget it.

Catch all of those Fish that You can before I get back out there. I don't want to hear anyone "Whining" like what happened 2 years ago. "That Damn Mackerelman caught all of the Fish again. Now We don't have any Fish to Catch." FISH ON PEOPLE !

I went in 10/16 to the mangrove coves just north of the NSP where they're redoing the rest area. Not much was biting even though I was seeing huge fish jumping around the entire time. I'm assuming they were mullet since they weren't biting anything I was throwing their way. I did hook a huge sheephead but he jumped off my hook while I was trying to get him to shore since I was surf fishing about waist deep. I also hooked another decent size trout but he also jumped off my hook right as I was about to grab him. :-(
Thankfully I had caught a Bonnet head shark earlier that morning over at the Gandy bridge on the south bound lane side. Thing swam right up to my feet practically, so I reeled my line in, flipped my shrimp in front of him and he grabbed it. So at least I had that catch that day or it would've been a bust.

Nice catch ff86tt. Was out there too on Sat morning. Got a couple macks and a bonnethead before 8am, then the bite ended...gave up by 10.

I went out Mon 4AM near the bathroom area and caught a bunch of ladyfish, small and large mostly on small bucktail. Bite stopped @ 6:30, caught a keeper Mack on a spoon and that was it. Moved to SSP @ 9:00 and went to where there was baitfish (there was a bunch) and hooked Blue Runners and small Jacks on my first nine casts, landed eight of them, lost count on total catch. Used a spoon, the Runners were rather large, 10 in. Great fighters. I was catching them almost under the pier where the shadow hit the water. Saw a few Macks come over the rail but not in great numbers. Probably going back Sat with my son to hopefully do some more damage.
