Anybody try the Gulp! Sand Fleas? If so, how'd they work?
Thanks!
ETA: how about the Gulp! Crabs, too?

I've tried. No success. 2 different "colors". One time used them when people around me were catching mangos on frozen fleas. Me? Nada.
It's too bad because there doesn't seem to be a decent artificial alternative. Especially when sandfleas are scarce at least on the east coast due to beach erosion, renovation, dredging, building, etc.

I'm tempted to try them, because it's nice to have something you can keep in your tackle bag without refrigeration, though I don't need another useless bait in there.
Interested if anyone has feedback on the Crab version, as well.

I haven't had any luck with artificial (shrimp, fiddler crab, sand fleas) on the pier. I'm sure you could have some luck near the beach and shallower water.

Ive got a pack of the shrimp fishbites. Caught pomps and whiting on them along with pinfish and grunts. Pretty durable bait

I have caught pomps and whiting on Fishbites in the surf on East coast. All flavors. I think it's the thrashing tide that disperses the scent. On Bay side I haven't gotten the Fishbites to work for beans! Now Gulp! sandfleas have been a waste for me. GK

Both gulp AND fishbites work. I just don't use gulp from the pier because pinfish bite off tails and take chunks out of the bait. Fishbites works very well regardless though. Any flavor. Snapper, Pomps, redfish, small grouper and all like them. Only other artificials I use from the pier are gotcha plugs, Mann's stretch plugs, and various spoons and jigs.

A surface walking bait or chugger may work when fish are schooling also.
