hey going to the skyway Friday night anyone tell me should I go ssp or nsp and what have they been catching Not to discourage, but be prepared for big time crowding. It's a weekend night and sort of a holiday one at that. My advice is to get there early if you can. D

With a busy weekend go to the SSP, you'll have more space to find a spot to setup. Like detroitd said get there early! Have fun.

hey going to the skyway Friday night anyone tell me should I go ssp or nsp and what have they been catching Welcome to the forum! I would go over past posts on the forum to see what has been taken. From what I have read, the fishing has been hit and miss there. As has been mentioned, expect a lot of people! And last but not least, keep an eye on the sky. The weather pattern leans towards evening thunderstorms.

Sorry to be such Debbie Downers to ya...lol. As I write this reply, strong boomers are near the Skyway. This year has just been too strange. Afternoon storms are more into evening. Winter has been very warm, waters stayed warm. Macks are sporadic (usually dependable this time of year). Bait is enigmatic. I just dunno... I wish you luck if you went out. Do let us know how you did. I'm hoping to get out early AM Saturday, but morning rain chances might kibosh that! D

Welcome. I would avoid the pier with the holiday weekend. Too many drunken a-holes for my taste. Not worth the hassle of untangling your line with side casters and spot pushers. Catch one fish and be prepared for lines flying to your spot.
Tight lines and good luck
