I think that it would Blow off in the Wind on the Piers. If there is No Wind, I am sure that it would keep the Heat & Sun & Rain off of You. I have a Canopy & an Umbrella but too Much Wind & it is all over.

I can take the heat but if the wife decides to come out, she can't. So trying to figure out something, because she is wanting to go to the pier and I will be darned if I am going to drive 2 hours only to have to leave after an hour or two!

I have friends that work the art shows, one uses 5 gallon buckets full of water to anchor it down and the other has old steel weights to hold his, on the pier the buckets would work good because you have plenty of water, a small rope and a clove hitch to attach. We all know the more comfortable we are the longer we stay. Could also do one side to the rail and one side with weight.

You could always fish at night. Night fishing is about all I do now. It is so much cooler, and no sunburn.
