I am a big time newbie to the pier fishing. Haven't been saltwater fishing in years. Tonight I will be at the south pier well Manatee side. Would love some input of how I am doing it wrong. Last weekend was with my 2 oldest boys and had no luck.

It is a lot of trial and error on the piers honestly look in the sticky notes several good informative posts there but I'll be on South Tonite look for a red Chevy Blazer with a rack on top

Towlife: Checked the tide charts and high tide will be around 8 pm. Weather looks good with storms well east and light winds. Good luck to all of you going out!

Is the bait shop open tonight someone said no? The Bait Shops at the Piers are Open 24 Hours. There is a List of Bait Shops Up in: "STICKY - Useful Links - Add yours also" on Page 1. Look for: "Bait & Tackle Shops in the Tampa Bay Area". You will have to Call Them & Find out their Hours.

If you're looking to gave a good time grab a sabiki rig tipped with squid and reel those pinfish in. If you're hunting snapper gotta be mobile and find where they're hitting. Either way, I always have a good time even if I get skunked. Good luck, tight lines.
