I got there about 9:00am & began Fishing for Pinfish & Grunts. The Pinfish & Grunts were not there This Morning. The Weather wad Great. Very Little Wind. Lots of Sun. The Water was very smooth. Large Greenbacks everywhere. I then saw some Ripples in the Water & I grabbed My Mack Rod. First Cast - 1-10" Mack & Back in the Water He went. Second Cast - I got a 14" Mack but I have No Picture because I gave it away to another Guy that was Fishing next to Me that had a couple Kids & were Fascinated about the Macks. Third Cast - 1 Large Crevelle Jack. Forth Cast - 1 Larger Crevelle Jack. No Fifth Cast. Screw That ! That wore Me out. Quite a Few Macks showed but there was nothing Big. They were all small Macks. I tried My Grouper Candy for the Rest of the Day plus 1 Grunt & I then Figured the Grouper were on Vacation. I did talk to Capt. Mike & He said that a Inexperienced Person was Fishing on the End of the Pier & Caught 1 - 32" Gag Grouper 2 Days ago. To show You how Lucky this Guy was, he caught the Gag on a Split & Cut Large Greenback. The Grouper was not there Today. The Rain the other day probably moved them back out of the NS Pier. I also Met up with Aussieguy & Neither One of Us had No Grouper to Take Home. But I had a Great Day just getting out & doing what I Love to do.

MM: The main thing is to get out there and enjoy the fishing! Nice of you to give away the 14 inch mack. What was the water clarity like? Thanks for the report. I will give it a go somewhere on Monday. You will land that grouper any day now.

You could see about 4 feet into the Water. Quite a Bit of Seaweed though but that is Very Normal after a Hard Rain & the Rough Surf out in the Gulf of Mexico 2 days ago.

Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self.
My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

When I fish I do not think about much else, unless some one else is there and we have a conversation. Fishing is good for the body, mind and soul.
