Hey guys stupid question but how can I tell the difference between pompano from yellowtail jack. And is there a size limit or bag limit for yellowtail jacks

You probably meant jack crevalle VS pompano. jack VS pompano There are no size limit on the jack. There is a 100lbs limit on the jack but good luck reaching it.

To me, the jack has a confused look on his face. Eyes look perplexed. The eyes on a pompano are kind of looking down and are at or slightly below and imaginary horizontal midline. Jacks also have the spot by the gills.
This is going by my "textual" observation. Tears' photos are excellent to reference.

While observing the eyes and mouth on both the fish....jacks appear to be on cocaine and pompanos use the herbal stuff.
