I'm heading out next Friday what is the best time I go 4pm to 4am or 8pm to 8am I want to go for snapper and Macks any tips

I'm heading out next Friday what is the best time I go 4pm to 4am or 8pm to 8am I want to go for snapper and Macks any tips 4pm is too hot and stormy IMHO. I'd do 8p to 8a. Also, check the tide chart the day you go. It could be a factor in your decision. D

how about 6pm to 8am. Just a heads up, bait can be hard to get at night and on incoming time (bait moves to the far east side of the pier. hour before and hour after sundown is good for both macks and snapper. And the early morning bite hour before sunup and hour after is good for macks and grouper. Tide playing a big roll. Incoming for macks gulf side. Outgoing for grouper gulf side( if there are any left) and snapper.

I would agree with getting there before 8pm and getting all the bait you need for the whole night. Unless you have something to catch squid to use as bait.

Yeah, I like to fill up my live well with smaller live baits and fill an extra cooler about half way with greenies and lots of ice to keep them fresh. Good luck and let us know how you do(we love pics ^__^).
