the 13 inch snapper came out of no were and bent my little ugly stick rod half way down fun to catch and measure. the 2 i caught happened around the same time about 3 minutes apart then the mother ship snapper came. i tried to get it but all the little pins and baby snapper came and kept it off the bottom not enough time to get a weight. will definitly rig two hooks with a bank sinker next time.

man i tell you what, before each trip i set up a snapper rig, grouper rig, mack rig, and a basic bottom rig, 3 of each on snap swivels so it is all quick connect. or if i get a break off i just attack a new snap swivel an clip the new rig on, bait it and back in the water in less than minute. i would spend 2-3 hours of prep each time before i go out. getting thetackle together relining reels when needed and so forth.
