The school of baitfish that was there last week seems to have disappear, along with it the macks that was feeding on them. 1 snapper went home with me. Caught a 27" cobia, while I was trying to get the bigger one to bite... but this one took the bait first... >.< The bigger one was a keeper! 2 ladyfish and that was it for me. My friend got two pompano and he's very happy. He was about to go home but left one rod with bait in the water while he was loading up the car. I saw it ran and set the hook and landed the pompano for him. He stayed a little longer because of that and got another pompano.

Thanks for the report again Tears! Much appreciated. I made it down here to St Pete for the long weekend, but rather than hit the skyway Friday I went out on the Hubbards 1/2 day trip. The captain kept us on fish the whole time! I didn't catch a keeper grouper, but I caught quite a few of them, a couple just short. But I did catch over 3 dozen grunt and porgy. I tossed the smaller ones back but had a freezer full filleted up and some cooked up in the restaurant. Here's a pic of the stringer:

I was out last weekend on the 39 hour Hubbards trip. Great fishing, great food I enjoyed every minute. Will go out again AAA#1
