There was something big bustin the bait in that same spot yesterday. It was big and there were tons of sharks around so we thought it was a shark. We never thought about a goliath. Nice report.

It is in the ling family I think. It is a white flaky fish very mild. close to flounder in taste texture like snapper but firmer. Can some one explain better?

Like Fresh Ground Pepper, Lemon, and Butter, with a hint of Garlic and Fresh Tarragon, Surrounded by the flavor of a Smoky Hot Grill, And The Blessings Of The Fish Gods, one and all.
Maybe not the best fish U ever tasted...
But let's just say the flesh is like a cross between Heaven, and Lobster, with a hint of Snook,Grouper, Mahi, and Mango and all the other good eatin Fishies...
Not Bad Fer A Big Dum Catfish
Rib-Eye's fer everyone!
Whoo-Hoo:)!

Ya know, the Texas Cattle Co steakhouse here in Lakeland has Cobia on their menu....maybe Ill try it next time, even though I can never bring myself to order anything but steaks or pork chops there.
