Bait house was OUT of shrimp. Talk about throwing me for a loop. So whitebait was the bait for the day. Freelined live, freelined dead with no eyes, cut, chummed, under a cork. Any way you can do it, it was done. Bait was thick enough to walk on so sabiking some up was no problem. Got there around 11 and fished the incoming between the two bridges. Landed one decent mack and had one nice one fall off on the way up the side. Slack tide produced some free time to get some white bait and cut them up for later use (thanks blacktip for the idea). Once the outgoing started we caught another couple and kept one threw back another. Then we had some down time, not sure what stopped the bite. Anyway it picked up again around 4 and we landed a nice big one and lost another two. They are still hitting near the surface, if your bait is too deep that you can't see it, it's too deep in my opinion. All in all another great day to be in Florida.

Thanks for the report. You should have gone on saturday though lol, I was killing the macks on saturday, they were hitting anything that touched the surface. My shrimp and white bait couldn't even soak for 30 seconds before it was in the belly of a mack.
