Tried to come up with some different ideas during past years to cut fish off close to the hook, then came across this release cut-off tool on Bassproshops.com: 8-1/2" long, with changeable s/s blades, for $6.99 + $4.95 s&h. I just mounted it on a 20' pool pole (3 sections that extend), at a 45 degree angle. I tested it on 150# mono and it cut with ease. - David not to degrade your tool looks like one H*LL of a mechanism ya got there but is it a necessity to put the cutter on an angle like that?? thanks
