Hey all, I'd appreciate any comments on which side is better. Been fishing the SS with limited luck on keepers.

Better for what?...Grouper, I have caught keepers on both, but the NSP only has structure on the west side.

Me and my dad have never had any luck on the north pier but we dont fish for grouper or sharks but we still catch them. Macs havent been to good lately but the snapper is great. We hook Shark when fishing for tarpon though. They are usually to big to stop. The ssp is better I think.

SSP all the way.
No offense, BigMike...I just like the roominess of the SSP better, and the abundance of structure on both sides of the pier.

Fished the NSP a couple of times.......no luck. I'm an SSP addict. I know the area's and it's just where I prefer. Keeper groupers are there along with a lot of other things. You just have to have the patience to weed through the shorts. If you caught your limit on keepers daily, there wouldn't be any left. So enjoy the bite when it's on and take the good days with the bad days.
By the way, if you're reading this, any luck today Chris(dive) ?

I've had luck on both, but I gotta go with goingdeep on this one, roominess and structure puts it over the edge. (also very few crabbers)
