Bay Scallop: The 2011 recreational harvest season for bay scallops will be from June 25 through Sept. 25. Bay scallop harvest is only permitted from the Pasco-Hernando County line to the west bank of the Mexico Beach Canal in Bay County.

Can someone dumb that down for me? How does this effect me fishing from the skyway?
Does that mean no more Gags taken between June 1st and September 15th?

when does pinfish season open? Is there a size limit? Seems like that is all you can catch and keep?

on a positive note, looks like they are trying to sync up federal vs state regs. should make enforcement a little easier

This is absolutely...I guess bullsh*t would be the word I really want to use. I finally went out a few weeks ago and caught a keeper grouper and talked my friend with a boat to going out and trolling for them..now we can't even keep them! I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'm with skyjay. We have put up with their overprotective regulations long enough. It's hard enough to get a keeper grouper out of the rocks at the skyway but this is just crossing the line.
