i want to work on a charter boat. anyone have any advice on where to start? i have great references from very experienced and well known people, and im definitely in a position to bring in a lot of business to whoever i work with...

Contact the St Pete chamber of commerece They will hook you up with a list of Captains in the west central Florida area looking for experienced help.
Also, like David was sayin, just call Mark Hubbard...

if you are around sarasota area try the flying fish fleet in marina jacks. they have 2 party boats one about 85-95ft and the other maybe around 45-60ft and the "big catch" it is the private boat with the $1200 for a 8 hour trip or some riduculus thing like that. i know a few of the captions and they have been hassleing me about going up there and what not but i am not quite sure yet if i want a career in fishing. it might take the fun out. heres their web site www.flyingfishfleet.com/

I tried working on a party boat once when i was a lot younger. The customers were great to me but the capt. and oter boat hands were awful. I allway wasnted to do it and i got my chance and decided it wasent for me. Mabey a charter boat with a good capt. would fine. goodluck to ya.

I thought the Flying Fish Fleet went out of buisness.?! At least that's what I was told a few years back. Did they reopen?
