I am heading out this weekend to camp at Ft. Desoto and I am planning on spending a lot of time at the piers. Does anyone know what has been biting, what baits are hot, and any suggestions on locations on the pier to try? I do not get out here to much so I want to maximize my time and efforts.
Thanks for the help...

Mangos have been biting in between the last restrooms and the end of the pier...lots of shorts but some nice ones mixed in...Ive also been getting some decent ones tossing bait out towards the rockpiles about 30 yards out or so on outgoing tide gulfside. Im sure there are other good spots for snapper but that area has been good for me for them lately.
Last week we hooked snaps, groups, a bass, a trout, a cobia....all on cut and whole threadfins.
I think Havetofish said he did good with live shrimp last week as well. Have read reports on sharks being caught on whole or cut ladyfish...tarpon are around as well...macks here and there...and of course grouper on live and dead bait...
Man is this time of year great or what??!?
