There is a super line called power pro. It has a smaller diameter and a hight breaking streght. Ex. 200 pound power pro is the diameter of 80 pound mono. I personally use 65 pound test power pro with atleast a 120 pound test wire leader. My baits of choice are chunks of stingray, mullet, jacks, mackeral, and bonita. But basically anything that is bloody and oily will work just fine. Good luck and tight lines

good "?"BIGWMAN......i believe its a 50? cud be wrong tho... i trust the international, but ive seen some guys out there using some internatinaiols that hold 300+ pd braded line up 1000+ yrds, but jst the reels alone are like $1500 or more..its crazy.. tight lines

Fishing or sharkin for big sharks at skyway can be a waste of equipment...when using braid the problem is that there is so much structure for the shark to break the thin braided line...mono will hold up better with structure yet the higher # the less line u will hold which will increase spooling...instead of buying more and more 300 yd packs of 65# pp save up for a yak and catch sharks on the beach u wouldnt be able to catch on the skyway pier

I have been using 100pd power pro on my 4/0 penn senator for sharks fishing from shore and piers and never had a problem with it. I have landed them around 8 ft on it. As a matter of fact I had a tarpon wrap me around a pilling and I still got him back with not a single thing wrong with the power pro he was around 125 lbs so I highly recomend power pro everyone I fish with has converted over to it and since then there has been more fish floping around on the docks and the beaches but the is my 2 cents worth
