I made it out to the SSP on Thursday afternoon 5p-730pm, but with that cold front, the bait was gone. I saw one short get pulled up but that was about it. I had my grouper rod out about 30-35 yards with a dead finger mullet (6inches) and I hooked something that I wasn't able to slow down whatsoever. Just took off left to right and I tried to follow but whatever it was, it was too big. I had 65# braid and 50# mono leader. Broke the leader eventually. I had not seen any dolphins around and too slow to be a tarpon so I'm guessing huge ray or something. Anyway, I may be able to get out today from about 5pm to dark to fish that outgoing tide. Hopefully the bait is back!
