Looks nice. Rules I don't like:
No shark fishing No cast nets No reels larger then 4/0
Other than that looks pretty nice.

Rules arent really that far off from places like pier 60. It dident say you cant sleep there it just said no sleeping bags. I know some of the skyway pier regulars who like to spend days at a time on the pier ( i know i did ) have to understand that a fishing pier like that and a complete skyway fishing pier are in totally differnet leages.

OK here's a confusing rule.......
Under 12 yrs(free with paying adult)
$ 4.00(w/out paying adult)*
* No child under 12 years of age will be allowed on the pier unless accompanied by an adult.*
This is the other part that sucks:
Operating Hours 7 a.m until sundown
No night fishing

Sleeping Bags-Sleeping-Skates
I see it now. The site i got this info from a lot of people there arent happy about the rules either. The state owns it and can make all the rules they want. I am sure that after enough complaints some of the rules will be relaxed. I would like to be able to fish on it someday. I am looking to to do a vacation shome where on the gulf coast next summer.

They just got it back going and the rules won't be relaxed, it's been like that before Ivan tore it down. Fact is Ivan tore the whole place down, pier, hotel, condo's and all. We used to spend Thanksgiving there, some of the best ARS fishing on earth. And a hint, you don't need to fish off the pier, we allways caught more fish from the beach around the pilings, some huge flounder. Theres another pier area at fort Morgan where you fish Mobile Bay. They fashoned about an acre inside some sheet piles where the boat ramp is and you wouldn't believe the flounder that come up from that place. Also if you like Mullett make the trip in the fall, I swear you could walk across Mobile Bay on their backs, unreal I'm telling ya. BCC if you do make it down to Gulf Shores be sure and make a trip to Lamberts Cafe, they throw rolls at ya there, best eating place in town imnsho
