My last trip out (two weeks ago) the smaller bait in large schools had moved in and the Macks were right with them. A limit of snapper is fairly easy, work the piling under the bridge with cut or live greenies. The Grouper bite was pretty steady, though the fish were smaller. Need to get your bait out further I guess. The tide was miserably slow the day I was there and freelining was rough if not impossible. Good luck.

mangos are out there but they are getting smarter by the day. they are taking live greenies with the tails cut off better than cut bait.
macks are around but are not biting like they usually do. the schools are less in numbers so, in turn, there is less competition for food. this makes the macks a little more difficult to catch.
it's not hard to catch grouper but nearly every one of them is a short, but they everywhere over the reefs.
