anyone mind sharing anyspots in the tampabay area where i can get into some trout from the shore possibly a red or snook?? never caught a snook before ive landed a 28inch red and hooked into big bull red but id like to catch some keeper trout and possibly a red or snook just lookin for some new spots anything is worth a shot

Can't help you with a spot from land for reds or trout, other than the ocassional one at the skyway. Wading would be your best bet. Snook is no longer in season.

i hear the snook are great on the beaches right now and they are hitting where ever they are at. Trout can be hit or miss, try fort desoto I pulled out some on the gulf pier on friday and im sure they are back there in the wading areas

does any one know if the ballist point pier is back open yet? of caught some nice trout there before but the last couple times i stopped in there it was closed down

What he said The south beach area by the maintenance area holds a lot of Trout and Reds. Be cautious there are many holes.

does any one know if the ballist point pier is back open yet? of caught some nice trout there before but the last couple times i stopped in there it was closed down yep.. back open and lookin good im heading there tonight for night fishin.. been goin there alot lately catchin catfish, sharks, sting rays, few macks.. and a cobia.. night action has been better for me then day action. Havent really been fishin for trouts there tho....

Fish the slack tides round 1am to 4 am live grenback 1/2 oz sinker 3ft flurocarbon leader aND 1/0 kahle hook. near the pillings.. gets em everytime..
