Quick report. Got there about noon, wanted to fish till dark. Ripnlips and Knottybynature were there, they said about 10 minutes earlier a guy next to them hooked a nice cobia, but lost it after a good fight when it cut him off on a piling (sight cast with a spoon on 12 pound test). Then about a minute later, a guy who was bottom fishing for grouper lands a 30 inch Snook. So I toss out a line and within a minute I had a short grouper, about 13-14 inches. Ended up catching 2 more shorts and nothing else. Decided to leave at about 5:30 when this was bearing down on us (scroll to right to see whole pic) Ripnlips got pics of the Cobe and Snook. Rip can you post those up? Tides lookin a lot better for next weekend. Hopefully bait will be nettable, unlike the past few days.

That fellow holding the Snook was fishing next to me one time using a greenback for Snapper when his rod doubles. I figure he's got a short grouper, but when he gets it in, it's about a 5-6lb sheepie. On a greenback no less. Just goes to show, you never know what your going to catch on what at the ole skyway fishing hole.
