Hey trucky, just soak a threadie on the bottom anywhere from the last bathroom to the end. Incoming, outgoing, it doesn't matter. Good luck.

I don't know but if I was Y'all I'd listen to that Feller right there! From what I seen the other day, He's pert near got that game dialed in to a science. (Don't forget to "bow" on the Jump!) Cool Thread Truck.

Chris, you catch more with live or dead threads?

Dead or cut bait on bottom works great, I use that method too. But I usually like to use a live bait under a float, in close to the outside edge of the bait schools. I like to fish the outgoing, as every fish I have ever hooked on incoming is under the pier and around the pilings in short order. After several years of lost line and leaders I stopped trying. I have been able to bring some pierside on an outgoing. I'll be at the SSP tomorrow (5/16) to try to hook up my first of the season. - David

They're out here off the beach at Anna Maria Island. Saw one the other day hooked from a guide boat. You can see them cruising the beach out here. The guides are up and down the beach hunting them. I would have been to the pier by now but I'm catching all we can eat off the beach. Come out down.

Don't think there will be much of an outgoing tomorrow Sat.
05/16/2009 Sat 02:29AM LDT 0.1 L 09:28AM LDT 1.4 H 01:31PM LDT 1.4 L 06:32PM LDT 1.7 H
I know these tides can be off a little, but 1.4 ft to 1.4 ft suggest a long slack tide. I might have to try for today's outgoing after 5:30, if I can bring myself to fight the Friday crowd. Damn East side closing.

Another victim! (Tarponitus) JM Not sure about up your way, but down south, the DOA TerroEyes work pretty good, in the Marina, and Backcountry areas. Have flat wore the Juvies out before on the Rootbeer 3". Herky Jerky retrieve. Gotta make em think somethings trying to escape. Jump em brother! J
