A few users have reported a blinking forum home screen when they try to login to the forum. If anyone experiences the forum homepage blinking, try this:
Clink on the HELP link near the top of the page, then when that screen comes up (it should not be blinking), press the back button on your browser and it should be fine.
This might be a Microsoft Internet Explorer issue only. If you see the blinking screen and are using a browser OTHER than Explorer, please let me know. I'll be alerting customer support about this issue, hopefully the above fix will work for everyone.
Thanks

What it is doing is refreshing over and over. If you click the stop button (the red x) this will work as well.

Shoot, I thought it was just my wife's stupid Windows computer. It doesn't happen when I'm using my MAC. I wasn't sure what was causing it, so I just kicked up my Google Chrome when wanted to view it. But I guess now I'll just hit the stop button when on IE..

Firefox is good. It is better than IE. I have been using Apple's safari lately and i love it. Firefox pushes too many updates down www.apple.com/safari/download/

I use them all. Google Chrome is very lean and mean. Had IE 8 installed and un-installed it. I never saw the problem mentioned. Were you guys with the problem using IE 8 or 7?

IE 7 for me. I never had any problem, until the last few weeks.

I've never used IE. Hate it. Used to use netscape till a few years ago. Switched to Firefox and never looked back. Tried Chrome but don't like it as much as Firefox. Its fast though.
It definitely looks like an IE issue, as I haven't seen the problem myself either.
I'll have proboard support look into it.

I'm not sure what you mean no issues. It happened to me earlier tonite, don't know if that helps or not.

I'm not sure what you mean no issues. It happened to me earlier tonite, don't know if that helps or not. 2 days ago in the Forum Birthday thread, I mentioned how we have had zero issues with the forum the whole year its been online... Then....BAM! The next day, I start getting reports of the blinking screen.

Well it can't be that... at least on my setup. It has been happening for at least the last two weeks. I just didn't say anything, Because I thought it was the wife's HP Computer. Especially since it didn't happen on my MAC.

The support board says theyre working on it, and it might be fixed already...if youre still having problems, try deleting your bookmark or favorite, and re-adding it back in from this link: skywaypiers.proboards.com

ie 8 can kiss my big harry bean bag! i spoke with a couple of techno-geeks about the problems i was having and the first thing they all said was "did you download ie 8?" i said yes. they said that it's worthless. it conflicts your virus protection and slows your computer down, among other things. i use ie 7 and firefox. they both work well for what i do.

No problems here, OPERA all the way. I hate IE so much it has been removed from every puter I've had, invasive, nosey bullslip program, add to that Vista and man you'll be punching your puter to death.
