o.k. you talked me in to it. You really needed your arm twisted, huh? I think I may have Saturday off...and I will be leaving the girlfriend at home if I go. Soooo....Rip, Ive got my MH action ugly stick and baitrunner...If I throw some 50lb power pro on my spool, will that be enough to get in on the poon action?? And how long can I expect to be hooked up before he breaks me off?

LMAO Marrio, you're right. Sure looked like a 5 when I typed it. Must be the night shift. Just back in from the road and going to SSP tomorrow midday for a few hours for a little primer for the weekend. Tide looks kinda funky for Saturday....mid afternoon action again by the looks of it. Hope the bait cooperates a little better early than last weekend.
50lb PP should get ya about 18 seconds of action but you'll remember it for a lifetime. One jumper and you're hooked.

I'll be there with a buddy taking notes, and watching the master.... Ripnlips you going to be about the same place you were last Saturday? Maybe the other side, near the end? I think the tide is going to rise almost all day if I remember correctly.

Wanna see em' jump in the bay but I'm in on the Gulf side. I'll probably get there first so I'll park the same as last week. We can always move. Hope some others join the party. Pretty fired up. We gotta get this stuff on video. Stay tuned. LOL.

Nice weather, a lot of bait, ice chest to put fish in, NO FISH! :-( Ok one Mac, and a few shorties but man it was slow. IT was nice meeting bigwman (David) and hearing is idea for the decal, that will be so cool. Fished the SSP East side early and West side later in the day both near the end of the bridge. Just slow... I guess I have to go again and try and improve my skills. Pirate

i dont know about any of you but has anybody else ever used a piece of mackeral for tarpon? last year i was at the ssp every weekend and jumped at least 4 a day just by dropping a piece down with or with out weight. also a mackeral carcass. from about 10 am to 3 or 4 pm so try it out and let me know how it goes for you all. tight lines
