Yes it's the same old junk, not good fishing out there, caught a big ladyfish, some small jacks, and one 16.5" mack, the only one I saw caught. Guy at the end was getting some nice runners. Tired of posting negative reports, nobody wants to read my schism. Maybe I'll post some old mack pics and tell a big lie about all

Doesn't matter if it's good or not, just the information on there will help. So what time were you out there? Where on the pier? See any bait?

Hour and a half drive to get there but love the skyway piers. Big fish available.

Even with a negative post, we all know there are fish of some species out there and who knows? One thing is for certain and that's if we sit home on the couch the outcome is predetermined. That's part of being a fisherman, we need the fix. I've never done all that well up there but can't wait to get back. Like Mel Fischer said, TODAYS THE DAY! Good Luck to all and enjoy the posts, especially the ones where someone goes and hammers them.

Tears I started fishing at good light just past the entrance, then moved past the storage shed, then moved to the 2nd restroom, then past the baitshop around piling #138, then to the end for around 50 casts, then backtracked back down the pier, left at 9:30 when the tide started to slow. Was good to see those big runners that guy was catching, they may be around for a while. He was at the west corner at the end. A guy was gag fishing around #164 and having a shouting match with 2 boats that set up out in front of him, he was very angry...lol...tide was falling and bait was still swarming on the west side. There was a huge pile of bait just past the entrance that someone had left. Guys were grabbing it as it was still fresh

Are we allowed to use sabiki rigs and gotcha now? As it is, I am not sure if all this stuff about rigs is something concocted by the pelican people, or if it is the law. This whole thing does not appear to be the law!

This whole thing does not appear to be the law! You can still use them, only through November 15- March 15 are they prohibited. They are just rules to fish the skyway piers.
