Im still quite new to the skyway but i have seen some monster kings caught using trolley rigs. I have already made pop off and stinger rigs ready for this spring. Any suggestions for quality fighting rod and reel setups, conditions or any tips would greatly be appreciated. God bless and Tight lines!

Rod: 7' to 9' long 20-50# rating Soft tip but needs some backbone. The longer rod helps with softer tip.
Reel: Holds ~300+ yards of 30# mono Nicest you can afford. Doesn't have to be a lever drag but it is convenient. You can use braid to cheat capacity of a smaller reel but you still want about 100yds of mono on top.

Thank you so much brother, what do you think would be a minimum for drag on the reel?

Smooth and easy startup on the drag is more important than a heavy drag. You're likely to be using a couple of small treble hooks on a stinger rig.
