Drove up from Naples to fish SSP since we have heavy winds, rip currents and dirty water South.
Beautiful day, but very slow fishing. Caught 6 nice Mack's at end on incoming tide. Another 9 by entrance before leaving for a total of 15. Ranging from 14" - 17". All thrown back. All on CC spoons in 3/4 oz. I normally use 1/2 oz but they wanted the larger spoon today. Bait is deep...Mack's were hitting me deep at end..... and within sight shallow. Happy Holidays to all!

Nice day out navygmc. Me and the son, hit the pier from about 11:30am until 7:00pm. Started fishing with fiddlers, mangrove crabs and shrimp; caught a few very small mangrove snappers, lizards and a small fish that looked like a pompano or permit. Were plenty of pinfish to be caught for bait off shrimp bits and started floating them under the bridge on incoming tide current. We had 3 really big hits but missed them all. Not sure what it was; could have been those dolphins. The tide slacked at about 3:30-4 and really didn't start moving again; started casting pins on the west side but that was about it, no keepers.
