Started fishing around 7:15 p.m. with a Clarkspoon. No Macks, just one small Bluefish caught casting parallel to the peir. Went to shrimp on a split shot and long leader, two junivell gags, both safely relased. This was as the incomming slowed down. Switched to a 1.5 ounce knocker set up due to the wind blowing from the south. Only a couple small Mangos. Then the tide turned around and manged two keeper Mangos. The bite wasn't very agressive, had to be patient. Put shrimp on a 1/4 ounce jig head and jigged them and caught two decent sized Ladyfish. They will be cakes. Not real busy at all, and with the wind after the rain it was nice out. I haven't been out there in months so overall it was a good night.

Glad to here you caught some Mangos. I was out last week and it was a lane snapper invasion. I love eating lanes but most where short. I guess the mangos have run them off.

Yeah, I've only caught small lanes out there. To me the Mangos taste a little better. What was weired was I did not run into any pinfish, not even one.

I rarely catch pins off the same pillings I’m catching lanes or mangos. Seems like the snappers and pins don’t like to hang out together.
